Christensen Innovative Angles has its origins in transforming the financial services landscape, by first electronifying marketplaces, then designing battle-tested high-frequency trading and algorithmic trading solutions for top tier global institutions, and later aggregating major marketplaces into a single user-friendly platform, whose resultant solutions directly processed north of US$2.5 billion per day in market transactions. These digitalized platforms changed the face of the major marketplaces for equities, fixed income, foreign exchange and several alternative asset classes to become the global market centers that they are today. Our founder was a pioneer in this space as well as a designer of complex workflows that weaved together the fabric of the financial ecosystem and its numerous touch points within and between banks and the range of participants that make up the market structures. He was involved with honing communication protocols which later became the de facto standards for how computers create trusted relations to support transactions. This is the premise upon which automated- and high-frequency trading occur today, which he implemented in practice for such companies as Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, Lehman Brothers, UBS, Merrill Lynch and Fidelity, just to mention a few of the 400+ companies for whom he created bespoke solutions. Interestingly, the workflows that comprise high-frequency trading, when observed in slow motion, actually also map to "low-frequency transactions", also known as interpersonal interactions and in turn lay the groundwork for the transactions that follow suit. These workflows actually transpose neatly to numerous everyday business processes and departmental functions. He later went on to demonstrate this phenomenon in different roles spanning several industries, and has applied these principles, along with his background in personality and relationship psychology, to masterminding organizational development and growth paths, impactful team building, and re-organizing companies with sensitivities to customers, environment and culture. Companies he has impacted have gone on to achieve tremendously successful outcomes and reach higher levels of organizational maturity whose results have carried forward for years to follow. |
